GEO GROUP EARNS STATE CERTIFICATION AS A WOMAN-OWNED BUSINESS
MADISON, WI, SEPTEMBER 9, 2008: The Geo Group Corporation has received
certification as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE)
through the Wisconsin Department of Commerce. The designation provides validation that
The Geo Group meets the requirements of being at least 51 percent woman-owned,
controlled, and managed. The Geo Group is now qualified for contracts with corporations
and government entities seeking relationships with women-owned businesses.
The Geo Group was established in 1991 and specializes in translations, interpreting,
desktop publishing, website and software localization, technical writing, and audio/video
production. To promote state certified WBEs, the Department of Commerce maintains an on-line

Georgia Roeming is the owner and sales manager of The Geo Group. Her responsibilities
include actively managing sales, marketing, management, personnel, and finance.
Georgia has 25 years of business experience in the state of Wisconsin. She is the
founder of the International Television Association (ITVA) and the Association of Language
Companies (ALC). With her career-long participation as a past president and Silver
Medal Award winner with the Madison Advertising Federation, Georgia has just been
appointed to the American Advertising Association - Madison Foundation Board.
